The name of the band pays homage to the historical connection between 19th century working class northern England\, and the brass bands which flourished during that time. The name also refers to a prominent ravine area in Edmonton\, itself the site of important coal mining activity in the early days.  \n\n\n\nClick HERE to buy tickets through the Edmonton Arts Council website!

DESCRIPTION:Join the Mill Creek Colliery Band as we celebrate Family Day with music for children of all ages! This hour long afternoon concert is the perfect place to introduce children to live music and brass instruments\, all while listening to their favourite songs and singing along.  \n\n\n\nThere will be no intermission during the concert. Ear protection is recommended for children with sensitive hearing. \n\n\n\nThis concert will be sure to keep your young ones entertained with musical selections from Kung Fu Panda 2\, The Muppets Show\, Iron Man 3\, and will feature educational content that will highlight many sections of the band! Kids of all ages are welcome to attend! \n\n\n\nFamily Passes are available for families of 4 (2 adults\, 2 youth) for $30 online in advance.
